A day in Sunway Lagoon

My parents had a sudden thought on bringing us to Sunway Lagoon this Wednesday. Which makes me asked them, "What do you want from me this time?"

Guess what answer I got?

"Nothing actually, dear. Just study harder. History is a very easy subject, you know." My beloved mother replied. I knew it!!! She's still not satisfied with the marks for my History. By the way, History really bores me, a lot......

We started our journey at 9.30 am, the thing funny in the car was, Damien (my youngest brother) was quiet. It's unusual because he used to be the radio of the car, and on that day, he's really mad at what father said to him. Imagine getting 90% for your worst subject, and your father says: "90%...only?! What the matter with you? You didn't study, right?"

We reached there, father went to get the tickets while I kept my eyes busy on the site map. Suddenly, I saw familiar faces which I thought I won't be seeing there, my schoolmates, nasty ones.

We began our day in the Wild Wild West, some cowboy place. We mounted the Buffalo Bill ride, which isn't exciting and really baby-ish, that made my Damien shouted like a girl. We then proceed to the Colorado Splash, a water ride that made father the only one wet. Then, my 2 little childish brothers went on the Vulture ride, some ride that takes you up and down and turns real slow. Later, we went on another ride, suppose we are sitting in a giant boot and turning around from slow to fast, something like the one in Time Square except that this is slower and less exciting. Don't understand what's the fuss to shout about. Then there's my favorite ride in the whole Wild Wild West, the Grand Canyon River Rapids. Like a real river, the current is rough and the banks are rocky. We sat in a round boat and follow the current turning round and round, there's a few fountains spraying water towards us, Damien's the one who got all the splashes, good for him.

After bidding the cowboys goodbye, we head towards another site, World of Adventure. The first ride was the Lost City of Gold, Thinking it's a ride where we get to know the story about it, it turn out we were wrong. Just a fast, twisting, make-me-puke ride. The most exciting, fun, thrilling ride was the Pirate's Revenge, Malaysia's one and only 360 degrees rotating ride. It's quite a dangerous ride and the officers were very serious about it. (The seat belts were tight, the thing that tightens your legs were crushing me and the thing that holds you back was suffocating. ) It began by swinging you slowly like in a cradle and each swing brings you higher in the air, first 60 degrees, then 90 degrees, then 120 degees, 150 degrees...... Then later you find yourself hanging 180 degrees above the ground! It doesn't swing fast, so'll you'll be hanging 180 degrees above ground for a 1 minute. At last, the thrilling part, 360 degrees rotating!!! 2 full circles that's all.

Though it might sound baby-ish to you, after you see people got hung 180 degrees, you'll run away from your queue. Why am I so brave? Because it was the first ride of the day, and I didn't know it was going to be like this......

Nobody ever misses the wet park. Brian (younger brother), Damien and I when on the Voodoo Adventure River first, it's like a lazy river with mild current, a good place to relax, just avoid the fountains. Then, we challenged ourselves in the Waters of Africa, going on the Cameroon Climb (I'll never forgive Damien for pulling me on this ride) and the African Phytons (this really rocks!!). Mawi Bay is a man made wave pool with music played by a DJ on the stage at the far end. Real good music......

We finished our day with a simple afternoon meal and went back home exhausted. I'm never gonna study History just like that, bear that in mind, mother.
