My Ivory Tower

The long awaited date has come and gone.

Mommy's birthday! Look what we got her.

I shall say this again to emphasise how wonderful a daughter I am. I bought her a pair of Charles & Keith heels. Kitten heels, since she complains that my choice of a pretty pair of heels will result in her falling and breaking her back.

Her words, "Fall die you." You know it's a direct translation from Chinese, don't you?

Jian's fake Ray-Ban and the cups of iced lemon tea, Ong's creation.

I love the butter chicken rice that restaurant serves. It's located directly opposite the Pudu LRT station. All you need to do is cross the back alley road, 1 2 3 4 5 steps and you're there.

Yes, I'm a university student now. I'm a degree student. I'm a student from the School of Arts and Social Sciences. My majors are Communication and Writing, minoring in either Journalism or Gender Studies. I'm awesome.

My life is cool.

To survive and in order to be on that gleaming 2nd upper level of the academic ladder, I'd have to read extensively, research widely, write proficiently, think openly, speak eloquently, present convincingly etc.

That's the Vietnamese spring roll we had in this restaurant called Saigon in Bangsar. Too mint-y and basil-y for me. Yuck.

It's pretty much what you call 'no life'. Like life with lots of basil and mint. Yuck. Anyway... I think I'm enjoying it =) How I love you, Mr. Stress.

The lecturers are nice. According to ChoonHui they're humans in disguise, demons in real. Not that they're really evil, they're just vicious when they mark the assignments.

Speaking of which, I already have 4 assignments thrown on me, all due by the end of this month. Assignments have a higher weightage than examinations now *gasps and passes out*

They say life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get.

Well, mine is definitely not a box of Patchi chocolates, 'cause Patchi chocolates are all so yummy.

On the bright side, I met Amanda and 2 other girls. Amanda was from MCKL previously, she studied for 1 semester and left and was in my Literature class. Then there's Stephanie and ChinFong. Stephanie and I have so many mutual friends, including that Caryn who's in Canterbury now. ChinFong... well, we both know Chester =P

Stephanie and I live around the same area, and since we share most of our lectures and tuturials, she's my carpool buddy!

On the dark side, I think my Journalism 1 lecturer is trying to brain wash me. But he's pretty cool, he got arrested twice under the Sedition Act 1948. He's even on Wikipedia. And there's the load of assignments to be done.

Well, cheers everyone.
