Shake the Glitter off Your Clothes

Free Aung San Suu Kyi NOW!!

There's a campaign going on, twitter to free Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma's imprisoned pro-democracy activist and the world's only imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

64 Words for Aung San Suu Kyi is a site where people leave messages of support for Aung San Suu Kyi, aiming to gather thousands of messages by June 19th, her 64th birthday.

How do you feel knowing that democracy is behind bars, detained for 13 years? Is it wrong to ask for human rights? Is it a crime to let the people's voices be heard?

Arrested on May 14th and thrown into Insein Prison, an infamous prison known for its unhygienic condition and uses of both mental and physical torture, for a crime in which she is the victim. Quoting from the site:
The United Nations has ruled that Aung San Suu Kyi's detention is illegal under international law, and also under Burmese law. The United Nations Security Council has also told the dictatorship that they must release Aung San Suu Kyi.
Though it might seem as a meagre effort, what this campaign is doing, but even Julia Roberts and Richard Branson are submitting videos, texts, pictures and tweets for Aung San Suu Kyi's release, why not you?
