Before Turning 7teen

Wow time flies and I'm turning 17 next Monday!

Wee, my driver's license~

So here's a gift for my readers, whom so loyally visited my blog. Thank you ^^

Here's a list of 17 things I've done and accomplished before turning 17 (happy reading):

1. Finished SPM

Yes I know, I'm so smart right? I finished SPM when I'm 16, like MeiXian, Isaac, Preeti and some others. I'm so proud of myself. Hahaha... joking la. Chill.

2. Graduated from high school

Yea wei, it feels good. When most of them are 17 and studying Undang in class, it doesn't intimidate me. So what? Undang only ma, I'm younger than you guys. Muahahaha.

By the way, studying with these bunch of people (sane and insane) is a blessing and I'm grateful to walk this journey with you guys. XOXO

3. Represented the country

How cool was that?

I represented the country along with 2 other students to go to China in order to strengthen the bonds between China and the ASEAN member-countries. There was also the responsibility of preserving the camaraderie between ASEAN member-countries. Not forgetting the job of creating a good image for our country's sake.

Ok, I think I'm exaggerating. But it's at least 90% true.

And yea, friendship is the most valuable thing I found there.

4. Kissed a girl

Sorry. No picture of me kissing her. It's not French kissing la (slap you dirty-minded people). But it's on the lips. Erm no I didn't like it, although she is really hot, because I'm not a lesbian.

5. Along with the gang, made it to the drama competition semi-finals

Being involved in this competition for 3 years, it's the first time I experienced the vibe of the competition's semi-finals. I consider it a great achievement.

Then, getting to know all these crazy people (yea, my life is full of them) certainly added colours into my schooling days. Love you guys.

6. Went to Time Square alone without telling my parents

That was with Sally. It felt good haha. I travelled alone by the way, by LRT. That was last year when the station was just 5 minutes walk away.

7. Failed my English paper

This is just an image from the web, not mine. I burned it.

Yea I failed my English paper, believe it or not. My best subject.

Bien sur, I had a really rough time, crying and wailing. That's when I started to really study English before the paper, usually I just read through some novels and forget about it.

I see it as a wake-up call from God, He doesn't want me to be over-confident and take things for granted. Thank God for that.

8. Scored absurdly high marks for English

I got 97 for SPM English. Really absurd.

3 more marks and I think the principal herself will interrogate me, "How could your English be perfect? No one could be like that!!"

My essay was 'perfect', full marks. Haiz. Damn 'fake'.

9. Wrote 2 novellas

Erm yea. 2 novellas. Very cheesy. Gave one to Cindy as a birthday present. Hope she won't throw it away.

I wanna be the next Jodi Picoult. Haha. I know. Far away dream. Well, success starts from dreaming to be successful, then putting in to work to make it alive.

10. Dirty-danced

Thanks to Preeti who 'contaminated' me. Nah la, it was fun learning how to dirty dance. That was during Ace's birthday party. They started playing music and she was like, "C'mon people, let's dirty dance!!"

11. Learned how to swear in German

Thanks to Mel haha, for all the 'wonderful' and damn useful words and sentences. Who knows? Maybe I'll marry a German dude and have to know some of these so that I don't just nod and say, "Gud," when someone scolds me in German.

Oh yea, Germany rocks wei.

12. Bought gifts for my parents using my own money

It used to be me asking mommy for money so that I can get daddy something, or vice versa. No more of that now, I'm using my own money, so it means it's from me, genuinely and sincerely.

And I did that before I started work. My parents should be proud.

13. Climbed the Great Wall of China twice

First time when I was 4, second time this year!!

The Great Wall of China baby, one of the 7 wonders of the world!

Ahh... first with mommy and daddy, then with a bunch of friends. God is so good to me.

14. Learned how to cook spaghetti

And it's edible ok? Tastes like heaven some more. I tell you, this is the easiest dish to cook, it's also a balanced diet. You want proof? My brothers ain't dead yet, that's the best proof.

15. Made sushi

At Shin's place last year. We were working on the EST project, then she taught us how to make sushi for lunch. The rice was very sticky and... well, just plain sticky. The one I made looked like crap. But tasted just as good as Shin's.

16. Wrote a poem in 5 minutes

Kinda impromptu thing. I was so nervous my hand was shaking when I was writing. Everyone was staring and I could feel the sharp pokes on my back. Just 4 lines. I give it a 3/10.

17. Own a blog

Need I say more? I don't need to elaborate on how blogging has become a part of my life, do I?
