Read Mabel's (click it) post about why you should like James. You can ignore the first part of the post and scroll all the way down to Mr. Macho's picture and read it. Lol.
My version of why you should like James (regardless you're a guy or girl) is:
-- he cracks a lot of stupid jokes
-- his jokes are 'educational' and helpful
-- he's macho and handsome
-- his younger brother, Ivan, lagi macho and lagi handsome
-- he's a nice guy, at times
-- he knows he's macho and handsome
-- he's a goblo
-- he looks like an Eurasian
-- he's taken (so you can only like him not love him)
By the way, I know the picture of James is upside down. It's supposed to be upside down.
Right, about the semi-finals.
Before we got on the bus, we gathered with the CF's prayer group. Chris prayed for our team.
On the bus, Pn. Lim briefed us on what the competition would look like with schools like VI, St. Johns and Convent Sentul.
They started the 'L' thing on the head since morning.
Don't touch Mel, seriously. Don't touch her.
Iven aka Ivy~
Conny Cafe, inspired by Connaught.
I didn't have time to snap a picture of their majestic main building.
Pn. Lim said that the schools we're vying with are very good in their speaking, acting, academics, bla bla bla everything a good student should have.
So we decided to be a little better than them. Doing what we do best.
We wished almost every teacher we saw, "Good morning teacher, Happy Teachers' Day."
Say whatever you want. We're just being good students.
Such an unlucky number. Not that I'm supersticious but it sounded evil.
Thank God we're not Team 13.
Anyway only got 8 teams la.
SBS, Wangsa Melawati, SMK Tmn Tun Dr. Ismail, St. John, VI, Convent Sentul and got one team we never knew what school it was.
I missed the chance to watch SBS' 'Taming of the Shrew'... again. Sorry, Wilfred. I really wanna watch but... I gotta make-up.
I know, lame excuse.
But I managed to watch 'Tears of Merdeka' by TTDI. It's very patriotic. But I can't hear what the Capt. Sashimi Toyota (whatever his name is) talking about. He's shrieking. Quite sad, actually.
3rd group was about Puteri Gunung Ledang. The guys had really long and curly moustache painted on their face.
Ours went well. The audience laughed when Mich shouted at Iven. We improvised the script a little. After Master Xy shot Robyn, I wailed and said that line that's supposed to make everyone go 'aww' (but it didn't). Then I stood up, wanting to avenge Robyn and those surrounding Robyn's body were supposed to HOLD ME BACK!
Well, they didn't.
So I continued marching all the way to Master Xy and pushed him.
Xan whispered, "What are you doing?" I whispered back, "Push me, push me!" And he really did.
It hurted I tell you, it really bloody hurted! My ribs... ouch.
Everyone gasped when he pushed me down. They said my fall was 'yeng' and 'geng'.
And the part where Elphie strangled James and Linda hitting James with the bucket 3 times.
One hilarious part was when James went crazy. Jer as the narrator walked out, shaking his head. James saw him and said, "Hi." then he pointed at Xan, "Die already." So many people laughed.
Mel and I with the pose.
When the judges were making the decision, Pn. Shanthi from VI asked a few students to come out to present gifts for our teachers 'cause it's Teachers' Day.
Then only the other schools started to 'copy' what we did.
I thought I heard heartbreaks in the hall.
Before turning his back to walk back to his seat, James blew Mel a kiss.
The sound of heartbreaks lagi defeaning lagi terror.
Yea anyway VI and St. John went into the finals la, which will be held in Labuan (note the title). Nevermind, we're winners. Same for all the other schools which participated.
We may lose in this competition but we are winners in heart.
Being guys at this age, you know how raging their hormones are. VI's drama team and their fans shouted like monkeys and jumped around like... monkeys.
In contrast, the St. John guys were so in control. We would have behaved the same way like the VI team if we won 2nd place. Maybe they wanted to give our Deputy Prime Minister face, since he was from St. John. The first runner-up marched to the stage, heads up high, neat line.
Suddenly a VI guy shouted something we don't understand (exclude the people he was shouting at). In a second they formed one neat group.
The Hakka.
See Edwin there???
Very man-ly la.
Lol like never seen before pula...
Went to Leisure Mall after that.
We love each other so much we can share root beers lolx.
Watched 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'. We related almost every character in the trailers and movie to our drama's character. We related Brendan Fraser in 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3D' to James ('cause they sounded alike when they shouted).
King Miraz was like Xan, watching the riot.
When the centaurs appear, I can't help noticing the leader's muscular form and said, "Wow... sexy." Iven and Cat looked at me one kind. Jer and Xan laughed like nobody's business. Mel and Grace were snickering.
Jer said, "They got horns and they're hairy--"
"Shut up, furry," I told Jer.
Later at night I felt so emo. I'm afraid that after the last performance, which will be on Friday, we will not hang out anymore or just forget about each other.
This is my last year in this school. I've made such beautiful friends and it's hard to let go. My biggest fear is that someone you once were very close with slowly drifts away and the tether that was once there will... vanish.
Joe and Sally went through it last year. Now it's my turn.
Love you guys so much:
-- 'cause you people are funny and goofy.
-- 'cause your laughter is contagious (I'm talking about you, Grace).
-- 'cause you guys possess the magic to brighten up each day.
-- 'cause you people are the most wonderful goblos ever.
-- 'cause you guys seriously rock!
-- 'cause you are all special in your own way.
-- 'cause you guys will stomp all the way to the finals next year!
SMKTC Drama Team ROX!!
P/S: I promised to do something. There's this girl in VI, I think she's a prefect. She super rude ok? Like really rude, ok? Even Pn. Lim thought so. When she opened the hall's main door she gave that ugly black face, "Who is bringing you in? WHO IS BRINGING YOU IN?!"
Then she poked her head out of the door shouting, "WHO IS HOLDING THE DOOR?!" at Pn. Lim.
Eh hello my teacher is kindly helping you to hold the door so you don't need to waste your precious little energy, ok?
She was sitting in front of the main door. When we left the hall to get ready, she stood up and KICKED the chair away like she's angry with us or something.
Too bad I was busy and I can't find you anyway after the competition, I would have slapped you across the face. Too bad we didn't know her name, or we could easily complain to Pn. Shanthi about her behaviour.
