But it was no big deal, really. 'Cause the teachers were the ones who choreographed the dances, watched us rehearsed and they were in charge of the food.
Yea, so... we had fun but it was no biggie.
But this year, none of the teachers knew anything about what's in for the celebration. They have totally no idea (seriously).
I might not like some of the teachers but hey c'mon la it's Teachers' Day, so respect them and entertain them for just one day of your life.
Speaking about performances, I've been in the business since Secondary 2. Yea, so I was one of the performers.
The band presented the song 'I Want it that Way' by Backstreet Boys. This song was like the hit when I was 8 or 9. Till now I still love it~
After the band we were on.
I'm so sorry to the students 'cause they can't hear our lines. We shouted our lines (my throat is like so sore now). There were lots of response from the teachers and students.
Tell you something, Connaughtians quite sadistic one lo...
They laughed when James kena hentam by Xan, when Rob was shot by Xan, when James kena strangled by Mel and when Mich hentam James with the pail.
It's meant to be a comedy.
When we bowed, we shouted, "Teachers we love you!"
After our acting, as a surprise to all, James came out with a cap and sunglasses (omg girls are gonna falling for him). He took the microphone and asked students to stand up.
Reluctantly, they stood. James explained what we're gonna do, "Students! Stomp the yard!!"
The drummer started playing the tempo of 'We Will Rock You'. We stomped our feet and clapped. James started rapping about Mr. John.
"He will he will smack you!"
We continued singing. Then Mr. John came up and 'punched' James. Lol it was cool.
It was a good idea to involve the students, give them something to do. I'm proud of my team and the band who were so sporting.
I hope the students enjoyed it. Hearts to all.
The 'che ling', Chinese yo-yo, wowed the audience with their breathtaking skills.
Finally, Daniel and Derrick created a touching ambience with Josh Groban's 'You Raise Me Up'.
Pn. Radiah our principal in pink, followed by Pn. Phua, head of the afternoon session, behind her.
From left: Pn. Patricia, Pn. Faridah, Pn. Radiah, Pn. Phua and our oh-so-handsome Mr. Wong.
Time to start the Power Point presentation.
It started with pictures of our teachers and their favourite quotes. I was to present Pn. Suraiah (our English teacher) and Pn. Choong's (our Biology teacher) favourite quotes.
Lol the funniest was Mr. Wong's.
The more you write for your Moral exam, the more you lie.
How to know whether the gradient is positive or negative? Remember hallelujah (raises both hands and back faces us), right hand is positive, left hand is negative.
Gurpreet ah, you came with Ray to school aa (woo~), he carried books for you wo (woo~)
Personally, I like Cheong Yoong's, "Pro! Pro!" when he sees Pn. Julina (our Physics teacher).
In the presentation, there was a few pictures of us when we were 3 or 4 years old. Teachers were supposed to guess who those little kiddies are.
Somehow some genius put mine as the first one. Very easy to guess meh? How come the teachers can guess punye (was it my reaction when it appeared)? Anyway, I like Sziq's childhood picture.
Then, there were pictures of our teachers' belongings. We had to guess which thing belongs to which teacher. A handbag appeared on the screen and Cheong Yoong shouted, "Mr. Wong punye!"
We had so much fun even teachers and students from other classes stood peeping at our doors and windows.
Actually these are just models la. I wanted to snap a picture of the kononnya 'peeping toms' (not that I don't like you guys doing it, I actually want you guys to peep), they all ran away.
See we 5S2 students know how to organize a good party (perasan already).
Last but not least...
Makan time.
I know McD's one lagi unhealthy but at least... at least McD punye doesn't look unhealthy.
I don't know why is it there.
But the teachers weren't bothered. Especially Mr. Wong, who was eagerly hunting for food.
Mr. Wong kao lui very geng punye... guys, must learn from him!
Clockwise from left: Chieh (in dark blue), Cheong Yoong, Ting Ting, Sziq, Calvin and Mr. Wong.
Went to 4S4 to curi makan.
So we took pictures~
Headlines of the sports section Xan was holding --- "Chosen Ones". MU's victory in UEFA.
Just you two wait. Liverpool will grow better and better than MU with Fernando Torres!
Don't stand on her right.
Because he always kena bully by Mabel and Manda...
Be strong, James. Be strong...
The tradition was followed. Before a long term holiday all students and teachers were called to the hall for an assembly before school's over.
We drama people sat in a group. Sadly Jer and Cat had prefect duties.
The principal gave a speech. The emcees announced the winners for Piala Khailani. We cheered regardless who won.
As usual, teachers' team won again. Aiya we give them face ma.
Pn. Shanthi came out to receive the hamper and trophy. We all shouted, "Shanthi!! We love you!"
What to do? We're all goblos and insane.
That was the time when we sang the best national anthem. Full of spirit and passion.
I'm getting emo la, Mich and I are leaving this year. I really love drama. I really love Pn. Lim.
Our first semester ended like that. Cheers and hugs and goodbyes, welcoming the arrival of the 2 week school holidays and the next semester.
I love my drama gang. I love my classmates.
Let me say that again.
I LOVE MY DRAMA GANG. I LOVE MY CLASSMATES.
SCHOOL ROX BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS!!!
Lots of love, Chery.
