Her book is called 'I Love Stock'. From the "urm... err... eh... well... this...", doesn't soundanything near love, or like.
I think the CDs are quite cheap. Enrique Iglesias' Insomniac for RM 23.90?! Hairspray soundtrack for RM 33.90?!
If you know me well, you'll know I prefer to indulge myself in spending hard-earned cash like running water from a tap on books, books and more BOOKS.
But I've only got like RM 80++, and I have to buy Fathers' Day gift for dad and some food for the dudes at home...
I had a hard time choosing books to put into my basket (come book shopping with me and you'll understand).
Found Lydia Teh's 'Honk! If You're Malaysian' (finally) at a drop dead cheap price. RM 23.20.
My hand mechanically took the book off the rack.
There were 2 staffs standing beside it speaking in Chinese.
Guy 1: A lot of people buy this book wo~
Guy 2: Yea meh? Who wrote it? (takes book and examines)
Guy 1: By Lydia Teh. We had people running 2 or 3 times back to the store to get this book.
Guy 2: Very nice to read meh? Who is Lydia Teh by the way? Never heard before~
WHAT?! NEVER HEARD OF LYDIA TEH BEFORE?!
What is wrong with you people? Lydia Teh is one of the best Malaysian authors beside Tunku Halim and Adibah Amin!!
She even won 1st price for Readers' Choice ok?!
I wanted to check the price for 'Eclipse' by Stephenie Meyer. I asked one of the staffs to check for me.
The staff went to check and came back, perplexed.
Staff: I don't think such book exist.
Chery: It does, I can guarantee that.
Staff: Are you sure it's not 'Twilight' or 'New Moon'?
Chery: It is 'Eclipse'.
Staff: Miss, the book doesn't exist!
How can it not exist? People read it, people go crazy for it, some people have the book!
What's wrong with them?!
It appeared in the newspapers today anyway, RM 39.90! You've got to be kidding. It's hardcover, it's RM 79.90 when I saw it in MPH!!
!@#$%^&
Anyway, bought Jodi Picoult's (yay I love her books) 'Plain Truth' for RM 26.30. Jodi Picoult's book... Below RM 30?!
It's raining cats and dogs outside.
Despite the weather... I need ice-cream.
New Zealand Natural is good, one of the best... but a tad bit too milky for me.
Better than Vanilla Natural, too milky.
Must get Famous Amos cookies for the dudes.
Love the smell~
I get hungry easily after walking around.
Went to Avenue K.
P/S: And yea if you read today's newspapers.

They're there on the release of their English album Scream (see? They speak English so stop the discrimination, Damien).
I love their songs. But Bill sounded better in German (lol).
Hope they'll come to oh-so-far-away Malaysia.
Tom Tom Tom Tom...
No I'm not insane.
