Personally, I too felt the same way.
But, part of me loves this piece of land.
10 solid reasons to that, I'll start from the bottom.
Before that, can anyone tell me the right way to pronounce tuition? Is it ti-u-sion or tu-wei-sion??
Alright, the list goes.
No. 10 --- Char Kuay Teow (Fried Kuay Teow)

Yup, fried Kuay Teow...
Thin fettucini-like noodles fried with prawns, bean sprouts and egg.
Actually, you can still find this in Singapore, so... I put it in no. 10.
No. 9 --- Pasar Malam (Night markets)

This looks familiar... is it the one near my school??
Another place for people like me to get food and go against the law under the "sun" (refer to no. 8).
Things are cheaper there, a good place to get food too.
Our neighbouring country has this too, I think.
No. 8 --- Pirated CDs and DVDs
Muahahahaha...
Can't help it, some are very clear and terribly cheap.
Temptation... omg.
No. 7 --- Multi-lingual
(click picture to enlarge, so that you can read the dialogue)
My previous trip to Penang, proved the 'muhibah' concept in our country.
Indian guy can speak fluent Hokkien, even the foul words...
Makes communication so easy...
Our own trademark ~rojak language~
No. 6 --- Democracy
Hmm... although it's said to be flawed-democracy in the Times statistics thingy...
But, it's better this way than to be not democratic at all.
No. 5 --- Penang
In case you don't know... I've fallen in love with Penang since I went there.
For a person who lives to eat, it is certainly a paradise.
Food is everywhere, from high-classed areas to wet and dirty alleys.
No. 4 --- The law
A few days ago, the case of the boy who killed his tution teacher's daughter caused a flood of comments.
He is free, and wants to be a lawyer (omg... I can't stop laughing).
You killed someone and there are no sentences, no canes, no nothing!!
Cool... I feel like killing someone now.
No. 3 --- Laksa

Oooo... heavenly~
Do not be fooled by the surface, it may seem oily and unhealthy, but it's good.
Not only tastes good, it smells good.
My advice : Use it for aroma theraphy, takes away all your stress.
No. 2 --- Mamak
I can't live without mamak food, it's like oxygen to me.
And NO!! You can't find any mamak stalls in US or UK or anywhere else, except Singapore.
To those who never ate mamak food before, you better try it!! Don't tell me you're allergic to curry, it's a serious offence.
Having typed 9, I'm a bit tired.
Gimme a break and I'll continued tomorrow, alright??
Just kidding...
What you've been waiting for...
Get ready...
Don't jump...
Here we go...
No. 1 --- Durian
I don't want to donate blood, you know why?
'Cause durian flows in my blood, which make other people think it stinks.
It's such a sin to ban durian in hotels, it's better than whatever perfumes you know.
I don't think you can find durian in Singapore...
'Cause most people there are so kiasu they wanna show they are 'high class' people, thus not eating 'low class' food like durians.
Ooooh, who can possibly hate durians???
