Why shouldn't I? They're so yummy.
Bathed in garlic cheese sauce... ooh empyreal dish!!
People always ask me, "You mean you eat snails?" and I'll always answer, "No. I eat escargot. French snails, you know?"
And when they roll their eyes and say, "It's still snails." I'll tell them that French snails are different from your regular snails, just like French men are different than the regular men. And don't get me going on the Spaniards.
Perhaps Spanish snails taste even better.
But if they still persist, I'll say, "Well, it's better than eating frogs, or innards."
I find people who eat frogs dislike the idea of chewing escargot covered in melted cheese. How illogical.
Went to the Big Bad Wolf Booksale yesterday with Chieh and sapu-ed 7 books.
Chieh's mom's generous erm spending saved me lots of money. Since she bought all of Carlos Ruiz Zafón's books, I save RM16. Oh and then she bought the sequel to Ken Follet's 'The Pillars of the Earth', so I save another RM8.
Muahahaha.
And my patient waiting finally paid of. I finally bought Marcus Sedgwick's 'My Swordhand is Singing'. I've waited so long for it to drop from RM60+ to RM49.90, still waiting for it to drop further but it refused to. Anyway I got it for RM8 now wahahahaha. I waited almost 4 years for this book ok no joke.
Found this interesting book published under the Vintage series called 'Sexing the Cherry' by Jeanette Winterson, which I'm sure KuanYu will love.
It was so difficult to decide between John O'Hara's 'Butterfield 8' and John Fowles' 'The French Lieutenant's Woman'. Both plots are similar, involving a disgraced woman, but differ in the social background and values. I opted for the latter.
May go back to sapu books again on Tuesday. Wee~
