How Broga Became Brokeback

Sometimes I tell myself, "You should go out there and do some exercise."

So I did. One of the rarest times: I agreed to wake up at 3.30am and hike a hill near my ancestors' graveyard.

When the alarm rang I thought of calling Chieh to tell her I'm not going. I wanted to sleep. Thanks to Chris for making us stay till 11.30pm on Friday night.

Welcome to Pandora. Theng and Hak playing with torch lights and water bottles.

Anyway, it was that dark when we climbed. Reached the peak at 6.15am.

Met in front of SMKTC at 4.20am, sped on the road to Semenyih for at least half an hour, stopped in front of the Nottingham campus and saw a pale face in the car behind Sziq's.

Seriously. Chieh and I really thought it was a dead body (touch wood, *tap*). Then that 'body' laughed. Lol WaiKit and BingWei.

4 cars with P license on the road. I thought that was cool.

The hike was tiring. Blame it on my lack of exercise, there was a frequency of breathlessness. Not because of view, it was pitch dark.

Isaac said there are 5 levels. When Theng said we've conquered Level 2 I thought this was going well. Before finishing Level 3 I thought I would die of asthma.

From what I observed (leave out the sense of sight), Level 1 was an oil palm estate; Level 2 was a forest; Level 3 onwards were tree-less.

Correct?

The sun started to rise. Blocked by the clouds. Deng.

Hence, the darkness. Kudos to Isaac for taking the risk of standing at the edge for this picture.

Some aunty wanted to sell him insurance; and sell us hot chocolate and sandwiches. Lol.

In the east, the still light of dawn broke through the dark and the guys were restless. Maybe testosterones are naturally active in the morning. Anyway, that's when all the gay-ism started.

The horror Chieh and I went through.

See what I mean? =_=

To put it in Manglish: Xuan also no eye see you people. Haiz...

At least we girls resorted to some normal and healthy activities: counting the vanishing stars, singing nursery rhymes and...

Cam-whoring. Despite the heavy lethargy weighing down our eyelids. And the chilly wind. And the gay-ness behind our backs.

Oh, then there was the nickname calling. How in the world did Edmund become MunMun? *shivers in cold again*

And Mrs. Dharma said males are naturally homophobic.

Going down the hill. Occasionally stopping to pose for Isaac, the man with the DSLR.

Too much gay-ness. We were influenced.

The route down the hill was more precarious, albeit it being bright and cooling. Consider the steepness and all.

Oh but there was the beauty. Who's with me for another hike to Broga Hill?

Perhaps Chrysolite homefellowship, yes?

This is like a scene from a movie. Epic...

5S2 people. Someone is missing... OH where's Sziq?!

The finale, a group picture after coming down the mountain. Surpassing all the obstacles and perilous slopes.

Sounds like I'm describing a game. Gah all the zai-ness Theng infected me with.

Despite our growling stomachs, we couldn't come to an agreement about where to eat. No one would give in to the other's suggestions.

Poor me. I just sat there and listened. I suggested McDonald's though. A good contribution. McD delivery via someone's helicopter didn't come to fruition.

Then the ludicrous idea of eating in Bangsar (suggested by Chieh and Sziq) was taken into serious consideration, and Yoong called Sziq to lead the way.

Pity my thin purse, only with RM 20.

Ate in a famous Indian restaurant in Bangsar.

We reached at 10.30am, the banana leaf rice will only be ready by 11am. My stomach wouldn't wait; my purse couldn't afford.

Poor boy looking for a bicycle in a RM 1 note.

*laughs madly*

P/S: CG on Friday was nice. Thanks to Chris for dragging me there. Met a new friend -- Amanda, who is as bookish as me. Oh and James is so handsome =)

I ought to ask Isaac for permission to upload the pictures. But he's offline and nowhere to be found. Sorry, Isaac.

Oh, news! Chua Soi Lek won the MCA elections. Hahahahahahahaha... I sort of predicted it.
