Season of Cherry Blossoms

Leaving for Muar during the wee hours of Saturday!

Written by Damien, this Chinese word pronounced as 'shui' means 'age'.

Every New Year, lunar or Gregorian, symbolises a new start and the increase of age. Of course, since it's an auspicious occasion, we do not view the increase of age as a sad thing.

Think of it this way, those who just graduated from Sec 5 can go clubbing now. Not Zouk though.

Some updates from college:

So rare of my phone to capture such a sharp picture...

This is, I suppose, the new student lounge. I call it the Glass.

So modern, I like it. I must say, the architecture or interior designer who drafted the blue print for the new block of the college has high taste for aestheticism.

KuanYew aka Dolly likes it a lot. She's doing Vladimir Nabokov's 'Lolita' for her Unit 4 thesis. Muahahahaha we just love such books.

Yui's gift to me. I think God is telling me something.

Love protects. But love can also destroy, as seen in 'The Age of Innocence' and 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. Newland, May and Ellen are almost torn apart; Newland almost thrown into the abyss of despair. Atticus' love for justice could have killed Jem and Scout, indirectly through Bob.

Anyway, love thy God, thy family, thy neighbours and friends.

Bernhard Schlink wrote in 'The Reader' that the love our parents give us are the only ones we are not responsible of.

Then there was the ragging. It certainly brought back memories.

I can't wait for the real action. Nyahahahaha...

Oh, the January 2010 exam results and SPM 2009 results will be out around the Ides of March. Of all dates... they chose the date that Julius Caesar died.

The shopping never stops, as you well know.

The male can never understand the female's need for aesthetics. Aesthetics must be written all over the female's face, clothes, attitude, words and voice.

There's a totally plausible reason for that. Without that, the human race will extinct; or the male will have to enter into a marriage he does not like.

You love someone because you find him or her beautiful.

That blue dress makes me look like Tinker Bell.

I like this dress. Cute, except for the hem. What do they call it, balloon dress?

The dresses are still in that shop if you want them, very cheap dresses. Why are they still there? Because I didn't buy them. Urgh.

You'll find them in one of the boutiques in Jln Kuchai Lama.

Chef Iven's recommended plat de jour in Mdm Wong's restaurant. He cooked it!!

Went back to SMKTC to watch the drama audition. I arrived later than the gang, having ran from monorail stations to LRT stations.

SinTing, who reminded me so much of Teresa, telling us why she should join the team.

Jer enjoyed being mean, he likes being the 'Simon Cowell' in the group. Adam was Randy, the milo-obsessed judge. Pn. Lim as Paula Abdul; Iven as Ms. J (ANTM judge in American Idol lol) and Cat as Kara.

I'm the guest star. Lol.

The audition wasn't that bad as to result into zero fruition. I did see potential in one of the girls. She left a good impression, I think she's very 'original', she is not desperate to be someone. There is enthusiasm.

I felt that they were 'lost' when Pn. Lim asked them up one by one to tell us why they should be in the team, and then some impromptu acting. The group that did well in the group act sort of, collapsed when they were called up individually, save one of the members.

James Toh is cute.

One little thing that I didn't like was the participants' choosy attitude. Not all of them were choosy, only one or two. When Pn. Lim asks you to act as a chicken, do it. I don't think any of us deserve to choose our characters. I mean, we're not Johnny Depp or Heath Ledger who can choose their characters.

Take the challenge, even if it's difficult. The reason Pn. Lim gave you a difficult one is because she saw potential in you and she wanted to give you another chance.

James Toh is cute.

Xan looked so gay in this picture whereas Adam looked horny... as usual.

Iven is a ghost.

I miss Pn. Lim.

Our alma mater looks like a jail now. Can you believe they covered that up to prevent students from slipping drugs into the school through the gaps between the rails?

Ok not drugs. Phones or whatsoever are forbidden.

Finally... I miss the noises we made together, the dirty subjects we discussed about, the gayness the guys liked to portray... and the feeling of us being together on stage.

I miss us.

P/S: This is the last entry before CNY, do miss me =D

I'm missing Baby Tiger lots. Especially during the audition.

Happy Chinese New Year
Spring is in the air and it bespeaks
Of a new year and a good beginning to all.
