Has anybody seen the latest literature component texts for Sec 1? I don't know how those people choose poems and stories.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Sherlock Holmes' series is literature, no doubt. Yet they compressed it into pathetic comic strips for these 13 year-olds. Why can't they give them an abridged version of the book? Why comic strips?!

And the antology of poems for both English and Malay. No Shakespeare? WHY IN THE WORLD IS THERE NO SHAKESPEARE?!!

When you talk about literature you talk about Shakespeare, Coleridge, Hardy etc. The poems I used to study in Sec 1 were so beautiful, the selection was good. Now I see it has been reduced to kindergarten poetry.

Even the classical texts for Malay... urgh.

Anyway, this is a very entertaining and meaningful musical. Do watch it.
