Me, a Weirdo?

When was the last time you watched 'Moulin Rouge'?

Or have you even watched it?

Finally, I found the DVD in one humble little shack of a shop (say no to piracy, be good citizens).

Everyone should watch it. Even if you don't understand English.

Language didn't stop me from loving 'Elisabeth' and 'Tanz der Vampire', I barely understood the songs but I still love them.

I'm tired of people saying they don't like musicals with reasons like this, "Aiya... you know la my [insert whatever language it is] so cha I don't understand what the hell they singing."

I just watched 'Sweeney Todd' yesterday (yea la yea la I very outdated, busy studying ma).

Whilst watching I was eating a plate of spaghetti with red puttanesca sauce, with shreds of smoked chicken ham.

Hmm... now I'm not sure whether those are really chicken meat or not.

Despite the bloodiness and morbid theme, the musical is cut-throat marvelous.

Gotta get the soundtrack.

Now, here's an interesting tag I found.

Rules:

1. State 15 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself.
2. The 10 people I tag are to then to follow my footsteps and write their own 15 weird things/habits and little known facts.

3. No tag backs.

Fact 1: I love my hair.

I like to run my fingers through my ponytail and play with it as if it's a brush. But I don't use it for painting. I hate it when others use their dirty hands to touch my hair. That's why my friends often hear me scream, "Don't touch MY HAIR!!!"

Fact 2: I read encyclopedias.
My whole family can be witnesses. There used to be this game show on TV called "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and I'd be flipping through the pages of dad's Webster's Encyclopedia for the answer. Then because I couldn't afford or borrow the books I wanted, I resorted to reading articles in Wikipedia when I'm bored.

Fact 3: I wish I'm a member of the House of Windsor.
Not as in by marriage, but by birth. You see, being a British royalty doesn't only means wearing Giorgio Armani suits and Burberry trenchcoats everyday. I like the idea of having ancestors or predecessors richly coated with controversies and unsolved mysteries. I wonder how it feels like having a great grand uncle who was suspected to be Jack the Ripper.

Fact 4: I cannot survive without a water heater.
Even if it's sweltering hot out there, I still want to take a hot bath. It's a need, not luxury. I simply cannot live without it.

Fact 5: I like to see Hermione and Draco together.
Yea, weird. No, she shouldn't be with Ron because he's a total jerk and a goof ball. If J. K. Rowling writes a Draco-Hermione love story I will buy 10 copies of the book and give it to my friends.

Fact 6: I used to think I'm a mermaid.
Go ahead, laugh all you want. I'm a good swimmer. I love water. I feel at ease when I'm swimming. I though I'd transform into my 'true' form when I turn 18 or something. Too much fantasy novels and movies, I think.

Fact 7: I have a weak spot for old folks.
They're cute. By cute, I mean... cute. I like talking to them. They make me feel happy. Happy because it's as if I could bring a little colour into their lonely life. Happy because I could still picture how my life would be if Grandpa knew about me and if Grandma still remembers me. Sometimes I feel like telling a friend off when they complained to me how distgusting their grandparents were at the dinner table.

Fact 8: There are songs of 7 languages in my MP3.
Mainly English, of course. 3 Chinese songs. 1 Malay song. 1 French song. 2 German songs. 1 Mexican song. 2 Italian songs. Oh and I don't know whether does this count, 'Desert Rose' by Sting featuring Cheb Mami is partially Algerian.

Fact 9: I love to talk to myself.
Especially when I'm choosing clothes to wear, if I record everything I said and let you all listen, you'll be horrified, 'cause it sounds like 2 or 3 different persons speaking. Then I talk to myself before I sleep, or when I can't sleep. It's like a daily routine.

Fact 10: I almost never got sick before 4.
Mom told me that. I had chicken pox when I was 4, the first time mom and dad got really worried because of a mild fever.

Fact 11: I was bald till I'm about to turn 2.
Oh gosh this is so embarrassing. Mom used to buy me hats to hide my ugly bald head. None of the hats survived till today though. I look at my baby photos and I go like, "No way, that's not me."

Fact 12: My first word was 'no'.
Since my first time saying that word, I got hooked onto it. Mom asked, "You wanna eat?" I said, "No!" Dad said, "Go to sleep." I said, "No!" It seems like a programmed response to most of the things my parents say, even till now.

Fact 13: I hate Fergie.
I hate the woman because she's engaged to the third love of my life (first being God, second being family and friends), Josh Duhamel. She looks older than Albus Dumbledore. She has bad fashion sense.

Fact 14: When I'm thinking, I play with my ear stick.
Someone pointed this out to me. We were discussing about a group project when she suddenly said, "You're doing it again!" Not that I like to do it, I just have to do it.

Fact 15: I'm obsessed with lavender.
The walls in my room are painted lavender purple. My curtains are lavender purple. My bedsheet is lavender purple. My favourite scent is lavender. The body shampoo I'm using is lavender scented. My MSN is lavender purple. I'm gonna name my daughter Lavender.

I tag...

Everybody.
