Birthday Wishes / Drama Rocks

Behold the cake.

Happy birthday to Jer and Robyn~!!

Finally, you guys are 16 (no matter how old you are, Rob, you still owe me a platinum card)!

Rob you look so cute!!

See how much we love you guys??

That was the day before our competition. We drama people know how to have fun and relax~

Joe came to gave us her blessings and support. Sadly she can't come with us, we should have kidnapped her there and then.

But anywayz...

Mabel & Chieh in the bus~

Or should I say Beauty and the Panda???

No no... Rihanna 2 and Chieh~

Lol~

Are you wondering who is Rihanna 1??

There you go... Iven (or according to Mel, Ivy), Rihanna 1~

Don't ask me what is the fuss about Rihanna with these people, I seriously don't know.

Anyway, where's Chris Brown?

To be frank, I abducted Chris Brown and drove Gurpreet crazy. Thus, observe the picture above.

The judges, I think the one in blue is the Head of English Panel in VI.

So you know it's gonna be tough and it'll get rough.

Mel looked stunningly beautiful in make-up with her hair combed back.

And I realised that James and Amanda looked good together.

I'm not hinting anything.

Anyway, James is a natural charmer la.

Me & Mich.

Me in light make-up and Mich in foundation only.

Xan En with white powder on his hair to look like a 60 year old.

But that didn't stop girls admiring him.

Oo... Jer looked hot~!!

Am resisting myself from going to Mr. John and say, "Mr. John, your son is hot~"

So says the girls from PESS.

Me & Cat.

In heavier make-up and sweating like an oil ridge.

Me & Mr. Basketball Dude, Shawn from SBU.

Met Shawn & Kevin from SBU; Nigel from Cochrane and Wilfred from SBS. My tuition mates all from premiere schools.

There were 7 schools participating the competition in SMK Yaacob Latif. We were the last group to perform.

First was PESS, then SBS, ASiS, SBU, Convent Jln Peel, Cochrane then us.

I was on the verge of panicking. All the while I was messaging Joe.

We prayed before we stage. We hugged each other wishing all the best.

Pn. Lim came to tell us SBS was good and Cochrane was too.

I almost died that instant.

Then we were on.

Some mistakes but our spontaneous actors worked them out without pausing. It was flowing.

The moment we finished our drama we were screaming from the backstage till we got out. We hugged each other and shouted till Pn. Lim stopped us.

We can't help it, we were so happy it went well.

While the judges were making their decision, we rested.

Aww... Cat & Jer...

Jer danced a little when they played 'Don't Stop the Music' by Rihanna.

I mean, the Rihanna, not Ivy, not Mabel.

The other schools crowded themselves together as if they were whispering secrets. We were the only school being so happy and relaxed.

They were really so tensed.

There was complete silence when the host walked in with a paper in his hand. He took the microphone and started to talk.

"The 2008 English Drama Competition, the champion... Group 2."

SBSians jumped from their chairs and shouted. More huggings (no kissings).

I admit I was a little crestfallen. But Mich & I clapped and cheered for them as well. Respect la.

Then after their shoutings ceased, "2nd place... Group 7."

All of a sudden people beside me jumped and shouted. Then Mich hauled me up and I realised we've won 2nd place. I hugged Mich so hard. I started to cry. Chieh was crying and I hugged her hard as well.

"Best script... Group 4."

Utter silence after SBU clapped and cheered.

"That's the results... now you can cheer."

Given the permission, SBS and us jumped and cheered again. Amanda calmed us down and shouted, "SMKTC boleh!" We repeated after her. After 3 times of that, Amanda shouted, "SMKTC boleh boleh boleh!!!"

And we repeated. Tears still flowing.

Group photo on the stage.

Jer kneeling down.

The floor, from left: Adam, Chieh, Me (holding Gurpreet), Pn. Lim, Ace, Mabel in the middle, James, Xan and Rob.

The stage, from left: Adeline, Mel, Yen Yin, Shiny, Mich, Amanda and Ivy (sitting on Xan's shoulders).

How much I love you people.

More pictures, visit Wen Qi's blog.

Planetshakers had a concert and seminar with Jamie Haith in our church, FGA, yesterday.

It was so packed people had to sit on the floor in front of the stage, the aisles, the stairs, and still there was an overflow of 600 forced to sit in the other building.

So... it was about 3000 people.

It was awesome!!
