At least, I'm not the one to be blamed for the sound pollution anymore this week.
Speaking of sound pollution, Xia caught the cold and her nose is on the run.
Anyway, I had Thai food for dinner yesterday, celebrating cousin Gaby's birthday too~
A Thai restaurant just opened near my place. It's exactly opposite the busiest mamak restaurant in my area.
That's nothing to be surprised about, right?
The suprising thing is --- the boss of the Thai restaurant also owns the mamak restaurant.
And this guy really knows the strategies of business...
Flyers of the restaurant were distributed EVERYWHERE!! Offering a 10% discount on your meal IF you present the flyer for payment (due date 31st August).
Plus, it not only offers Thai dishes, but western and malay food too.
What's more, it's halal~
Earns money from everyone in the country.
I would say that the guy's really a true business man, 'cause he is daring to take up HUGE risks.
Risk no.1 --- Expensive interior decoration
There is a platform made along all the full-lengthed windows, which is very costly. Considering that there might be termites that will destroy the wood, the planks need to be processed, provided that you pay the huge sum of money.
The tables and chairs and beautiful, looks expensive. No, I don't believe they can get this from what... night market??
Note the sashes hanging on the ceilings. Expensive...
Oh, did I mention the uniforms of the waiters? They are BEAUTIFUL~
Risk no. 2 --- Heavy plates and utensils
I know, it looks scrumptious.
That's the green curry in the middle, mixed vegetables and chicken feet skin kerabu in front of it; Beside the green curry on your right is the Special Beancurd (mango slices + excellent sauce), and the left is the Thai omellete (my favourite).
Just to make you drool~ XD
The plates are extremely heavy, you can actually see the waiter's hand trembling as he struggled to balance the tray on one hand and the dish on the other... poor guy~
Possibilities that the waiters themselves can break the plates are undeniable.
And... is stainless steel suppose to be heavy too? I know the ones I use at home aren't~
Risk 3 --- Fresh seafood
I know the whole fresh seafood concept but I didn't expect it to be... RAW.
Alright, just the inner part that is raw, the meat nearer to the skin are okay.
Did the Thai abduct the trend of sushi too??
Anyway, the gravy for the fish was delicious. Tasted like tom-yam, but not as spicy as tom-yam.
I would say overall it's okay~
I'll give it a B.
Dad wasn't happy about their service, slow + the debitted my dad's card TWICE~!!
Maybe it's their first time using that credit card machine, oh well, I still pity them~
By the way, the spicy sensation sent Damien flying through the air, as if he got kicked in the butt of something.
Guess that's the 'ohm' of muay thai... through food that is.
